Assessment Overview for IGCSE Drama:

All candidates take two components.

Candidates will be eligible for grades A* to G.

Component 1 (2 hours 30 minutes) Written examination which constitutes 40% and is worth 80 marks.
Candidates answer:

all questions in Section A
-
two questions in Section B (one compulsory question and one question from a choice of two)

both questions in Section C. Externally assessed

Component 2 (Coursework) which constitute 60% and is worth 120 marks.
Candidates submit three pieces of practical work:

individual performance based on an extract from a play
-
group performance based on an extract from a play
-
group performance based on an original devised piece. Internally assessed and externally moderated
